Biography

Kayla Fiore is a dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur, and arts activist from Libertyville, Illinois. Kayla received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Minor in Performing Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Michigan in May 2021. Additionally, Kayla has traveled to Paris and Berlin to study dance and art history, while working with choreographers from around the globe. During her undergraduate education, Kayla was the Dean's Liaison for the EXCEL Lab in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Treasurer on the Executive Board for Dance Student Assembly, and a producer of the Arts in Color's "Range of Reaction" 2021 Showcase; an annual performance committed to showcasing diverse work within the social justice and arts sector. In 2019, Kayla performed her own work in Paris, France and continues to choreograph her own work. In September of 2021, Kayla's film "Party of One" received the Audience Choice Award at the Screen Dance International Festival. More recently, Kayla worked at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival as a Production Assistant, and is currently a freelance artist in New York City!
